American Diplomacy in a Dishonest Age
By Noam Chomsky
In his latest book, Noam Chomsky argues that the United States has abandoned its commitment to democracy and human rights in favor of self-interest and power. He traces the decline of American diplomacy from the end of World War II to the present day, showing how the United States has repeatedly used its military and economic might to crush popular movements, prop up dictatorships, and extract resources from other countries.

Chomsky's indictment is sweeping and damning. He argues that the United States has become a "rogue superpower" that no longer respects international law or the rights of other nations. He cites numerous examples of American aggression, from the Vietnam War to the invasion of Iraq, showing how the United States has used its power to bully and intimidate other countries.
Chomsky also argues that the United States has abandoned its commitment to democracy at home. He points to the growing concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few, the erosion of civil liberties, and the suppression of dissent. He argues that the United States is no longer a democracy, but a plutocracy, where the rich and powerful rule.
Chomsky's book is a powerful and disturbing indictment of American foreign policy. It is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the true nature of American power.
